Photography graduate Lauren Mawhinney is an identical twin and for most of her life, she’s never been too far away from other twins. In primary school, there were another four sets of twins in her year alone. Now, she dates a twin, whose father is also part of a twin set.
Lauren set out to document twins in her hometown of Singleton and in Wagga Wagga, where she has been completing a photography degree at Charles Sturt University. Interestingly, while the series started out as an examination of identity within twins, Lauren found herself reminiscing about her childhood when she was closer to her twin sister Rebecca.
