This year Gabbi Mitton marched in Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras for the first time. It was an affirming experience for the Wagga Wagga university student and a stark contrast to the discrimination she faced coming out as a lesbian in her teenage years. Gabbi shares part of her story along with a message for anyone who is queer, questioning or wanting to be a better ally to the LGBTIQ community.
